Online pillow shopping has become extremely difficult over the years with more brands coming to market and the hundreds of different reviews and forums. Everything has become so contradictory leaving you confused and not knowing what is the right pillow for you. In this guide my goal is to educate you on what the best pillow is for your sleeping habits, through the rigorous testing I’ve done over the years.
For decades I’ve been on the search for “the pillow” , you know the go to magical pillow that cures all your neck pain and puts you to sleep faster than ever. The pillow that makes you not want to get out of bed. All the pillows i’ve purchased in the past started off strong, but after a few months I found myself purchasing a new one. Over and over, an unrelentless hunt to find the best pillow ever.
I realized I just needed to speed up this process, for the sake of my sleep and my health. I began to research everything I could about pillows and purchased too many to count. And today I can comfortably say I have finally found the best pillows I’ve been searching for all this time. Of all the pillows tested over the years, here are my top 5 favorite pillows of all time.

1. Eli & Elm Everyday Latex Pillow

Description
When I came across this pillow I was presently surprised. It looked very high end but wasn’t sure if it would live up to the hype or price tag. Boy was I wrong. This pillow by Eli & Elm is by far the most comfortable pillow I’ve tried on this list and currently my everyday sleeper. Before I tried this pillow I thought it was normal to periodically wake up to shift during the night. After using this pillow I consistently sleep throughout the night. I don’t find myself needing to fluff the pillow or move it around. It contours nicely to the weight of my head with the perfect amount of softness. It does arrive very full and I prefer a low loft pillow so I needed to remove a decent amount of fill to find that sweet spot.

2. Down Pillow

Description
The Westin down pillow is the ultimate pillow for those that prefer a thin cloud-like comfort pillow. This is the type of pillow you see at 5 star hotels. I find myself rotating through pillows throughout the year and this one is definitely in the mix for my daily sleeper. Down is one of my favorite types of fill in pillows as you just sink into it like a cloud. It is the perfect amount of comfort and GDS certified. For anyone searching for high-end luxury pillows found in specialty hotels I highly reccomend this one.

3. Talatex Latex Pillow

Description
The Talatex Latex Pillow deserves to be on this list just as the next for it’s incredible airy feel. This pillow is made from ventilated Talalay latex which gives it a bouncy responsive feel. It’s very supportive and sleeps cooler than most pillows I’ve tried. The 100% Lyocell cover is incredibly soft and the overall construction of the pillow is very well made for the price point. It does come in a low loft (5.75″) or a high loft (7″) option. I personally find the low loft to be more comfortable. Talalay latex has a very unique feel that can take some getting used to but is very pleasent. You sink into the pillow quite nicely with a strong upward support. My guest beds are currently stocked with these pillows and everytime I have guests over they ask me where I purchased them.

4. Tempurpedic Pillow

Description
The Temper-pedic is that tride and true pillow that never lets down. Just unparrelled softness like no other pillow. It does sleep hot and lacks proper support for the head and neck, but it is simply too comfortable to not include on this list. I wouldn’t reccommend this pillow as a long term sleeper due to the support issues, but if your someone like me that like to sleep on different pillows throughout the year this one belongs in the mix. The tempuerpedic is a delacacy for you head. For stomach sleepers that need a low loft pillow, this is a great option.

5. Eli & Elm Side-Sleeper Pillow

Description
After trying the Eli & Elm Everyday pillow I knew I had to try their side-sleeper. After all I am a side-sleeper and this one had some pretty impressive reviews. I immediately fell in love with the Ushape design. With a standard pillow I find myself adjusting the pillow to an angle when sleeping on my side to ensure my shoulders aren’t overly elevated and my head has enough support and surface area on the pillow. This completely eliminated this awkward pillow position. It almost felt like this pillow was custom designed to mold the shape of my body. It was by far the most comfortable pillows of the bunch to sleep on. They offer this pillow in latex (firmer) or memory foam (softer).
